Condolences & Memories (10 entries)

  • Sorry to hear of that uncle Rene passed away. I still remember when he was showing us the grounds where the Papertown now stands, telling us how it was going to look. Our condolences to Auntie Lorraine and the family. - Posted by: Ron Sabiston an family (Nephew) on: Mar 07, 2013

  • I wish to express my heartfelt condolences to the whole family. He was truly a pillar of the community and will be missed by all. Having been fortunate to have known how light he was on his feet, I will miss the occasions to glide around the dance floor with him, until we all meet again. - Posted by: Sheila Nash () on: Feb 28, 2013

  • Rene was a good friend of my brother John Sawka. My husband Herb and I had many fun visits with Rene and Lorraine. Please accept our condolences and I hope that I can visit again with Lorraine one day. - Posted by: Rose Scarth (Friend) on: Feb 27, 2013

  • Just heard from Beatrice about Rene. My condolences go out to Lorraine, kids and their families. He had great patience with me when I worked for him many years ago. Did the rock wall in the bathroom ever fall? He was like his brother Onazim, and could fix anything with baling wire and side-cutters. I still consider you all close family and I am forever grateful for allowing me to live with you, when I was a teen. I remember his dream of opening a wilderness lodge and offer hunting and fishing trips and was including me in the family venture. Living at the end of the road to nowhere in St. George was wilderness enough for a city boy. He was a man I admired and respected and I think of him often and will continue to do so. Barb and I offer you our profound sympathy - Posted by: Don Bernardin (Family) on: Feb 27, 2013
