MARY FRIESEN Mary Friesen, 87 passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 17, 2013. She was the daughter of John and Helen Dyck (nee Dyck) of Drake, SK. She was predeceased by her husband Cornelius of 62 years, her parents, one brother and one great-granddaughter. She leaves to mourn sons Abe (Ruth), Jake (Doris) and daughter Elizabeth (Ted) Friesen and granddaughters Jenny (Ty) Plett, Amber Friesen and great-grandson Zander Plett. The funeral service will be held at North Kildonan Mennonite Church, 1131 Roch Street, Winnipeg, MB at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, March 21, 2013. Interment at Green Acres Cemetery. Mom was greatly loved and will be dearly missed. Rest in peace Mom. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 200 - 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6. Our heartfelt condolences in the loss of your Mother and Grandmother. In the 50's we lived on Devon Ave. and always shopped at Friesens store around the corner on Rothesay Street. Remember them as very nice and friendly people. Met Mary and Cornelius during the years sometimes and they were always a pleasure to meet and visit with. Our children also became friends.
