GEORGE TOWLE 1932 - 2013 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of George on Monday, March 25, 2013, devoted husband of Helen and caring father to Rick, Karen (Cal), Lisa (Stan), and Grandpa to Christopher, Katrina (Anders), Kolton and Garrett. George spent many years of his life volunteering for the Lac Du Bonnet Fire Department and Ambulance, Canadian Power Tobogganing Championships Beausejour and most recently for the Beausejour Handivan. He was always available to lend a hand and never turned anyone away. Dad had a love for music. Over the years, he enjoyed playing his fiddle and spent many hours "jamming" with friends and family. He was always ready for coffee with friends and catching up with the latest gossip. George will be sadly missed by his family and many friends. A celebration of his life will be held on Monday, April 1, 2013 at the Brokenhead River Community Hall, Beausejour Room from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. The family would like to give special thanks to Joan and the Beausejour EMS for their care. In lieu of flowers, and if you choose, donations in George's memory can be made to a charity of your choice. Condolences & Memories (12 entries)

  • I spent many an hour with George and his brother Bert. As young men, we jammed together, fiddle & guitar. George was always there to assist when called upon, especially when he helped drive the king pins out of the axle in my '41 Ford. I also remember shooting pool in town (Beausejour) on Saturday nights before heading for the dance at "Teddies" in Tyndal. George was a good guy, and fine friend, I hope they still make them like that. Verne - Posted by: Verne Schoenberger (Friend ) on: Jul 02, 2015
