JOHN MAROWITCH John Marowitch, age 93, died on April 8, 2013, surrounded by his family. He leaves behind Merle, his wife of 59 years, daughters Joan and Janet, son John, other family members and many friends and business associates. He was predeceased by two brothers and two sisters. John was born in Winnipeg in 1919, worked during the Depression selling newspapers at Logan and Main, and served with the Royal Canadian Air Force at the Technical Training School in St. Thomas, Ontario from 1941 to 1945. He graduated in Electrical Engineering from the University of Manitoba in 1949. After 12 years at Winnipeg Hydro as a Design Engineer, he left and established Magnet Industries. John enjoyed life; his enjoyment came from his family, his work, and the people he met every day. He was a hard worker, good listener and a practical and innovative thinker. He was known for his friendly nature and the kindness he showed others. Cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral. Spreading of ashes will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to an organization of your choice.
