LILIAN KREUTZER September 23, 1913 - April 19, 2013 It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our mother Lilian. She was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Arthur, April 21, 1993. Lilian is remembered and mourned by her children, Don and wife Debbie, Jane and husband Richard, Joyce and husband John, Sharon and husband Jamie, and Carol and husband Bill. Also happy to have shared in her life and saddened by their loss are grandchildren Paul, Karen, Kim, James, Michael, Jennifer, Jeffrey, Riley, Taylor, Bryan, Stephen and Katie. She also leaves nine great-grandchildren, Emily, Jack, Ben, Luke, Kaitlyn, Dawson, Jaxon, John Carson and Lilly. Arthur and Lilian were married by her father in Steinbach on October 7, 1939, and then moved to Winnipeg where they raised their family. We remember our mother as a woman of a gentle nature who always welcomed anyone into her home with warmth and kindness. She was a very hard working person, raising five children while caring for a home and a large garden. She asked for nothing for her herself; always willing to help out others when needed. Lilian's faith in God was clear and sure and that was a great source of comfort and strength for her over the years. She was an active member of the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer since moving to Winnipeg in the 1940s. The family would like to thank the staff at the West Park Manor care home for all the tender, consistent, care they gave our mother over the years. In addition, we would like to thank Joan Braun who took our mother under her protective and caring wing, being there when we, due to distance, could not be. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lilian's memory to a charity of choice. Visitation 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Thursday, April 25, 2013, at Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook Street. Funeral Service 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 26, 2013, at Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, 59 Academy Road. Interment to follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
