WAYNE POMMER 1947 - 2013 It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of a great husband, father, grandfather and brother after a brief and courageous struggle with cancer on Friday, May 10, 2013 at the age of 65. Wayne leaves to mourn his passing his loving wife Arlene, of 36 years, his sons Kevin (Melissa) and Darren (Desireé), two grandsons Drake and Cole, his brother Gordon (Louise), sister Ruth (Gerald), and many nieces and nephews. Wayne was predeceased by his parents Jack and Hilda Pommer, and one brother Del. Wayne was born and raised on the family farm near River Hills, MB. Wayne was a kind, great, compassionate and caring person. He had a passion for farming, mechanics and muscle cars. This he started and passed on to his two boys. He was a perfectionist in everything he did. While farming and raising his family, he also worked at B.A.C.M. Construction for many years at Birds Hill Park. Wayne had a wonderful sense of humour and used it right to the very end. He loved fun, country music and polka. He will be loved and deeply missed. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 17 at Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Avenue E., Beausejour. Interment will follow in Whitemouth Municipal Cemetery. Honourary pallbearers will be his sons Darren and Kevin. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Canadian Cancer Society, Manitoba Division, 193 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7.
