GARY DOUGLAS BRANDT On Thursday, May 9, 2013, Gary passed away peacefully at the London Health Sciences Centre at the age of 53. Left to cherish his memory are his special friend Suzan, his mother Susie, his siblings Leroy, Debbie, Patricia, Elaine, Curt and Myra and their families, his biological siblings Paul, John, Walter, Kevin, Arlene, Dwayne, Aime, Wayne and Sharon and their families. He was predeceased by his father Leonard and his biological sister Michelle. Gary was born October 26, 1959 in Steinbach, Manitoba. As a young boy he was adopted by the Brandt family in Blumenort. He was an active child and was always willing to work on the farm. He enjoyed playing cards and various sports especially hockey and was a fan favourite for the teams he played with. He spent many years working as a carpenter. He had a heart for children and they often gravitated to him and his outgoing nature. In 1999 he moved to London, Ontario where he met Suzan. A special thank you to the doctors and nurses at London Health Sciences for the wonderful care and kindness shown to Gary in his final days. The funeral service will be held Friday, May 17 at 2:00 p.m. at the Blumenort EMC Church with interment prior to the service at the Blumenort EMC Cemetery.
