Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALEXINA MARIE VICTORIA CARRIERE (nee ZASTRE) 1924 - 2013 Alexina, at the age of 89 years, passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at Kildonan Personal Care Home, embraced by the love of her family and care givers. She was predeceased by her parents George and Josephine Zastre. She was also predeceased by her loving husband Victor, on May 2, 2003, her siblings: Marie Antoinette, Georgette, Henry, Antoine and Ernest. Left to cherish her memory are her children: Valerie (Jim), Diane, Ron (Shirley), her grandchildren: Jason, Angelina (Chris), Melissa (Lars), and her great-grandchildren Ariana and Gillian. Alexina is also survived by her brother Lionel as well as many nieces and nephews. She enjoyed baking, cooking, knitting, crocheting, bingo, travel, and spending time with family and friends. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the wonderful staff of Kildonan Personal Care Home for the years of exceptional care and compassion. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home, Highway #1 East at Navin Rd. Interment to follow in Green Acres Cemetery. Flowers gratefully declined, donations in Alexina's memory may be made to a charity of one's choice. We have spoken Alexina's name in our prayers during Sunday worship at Abundant Life for quite some time now. We now include all of her family as you mourn her death.
