DAMITA JO NOEL Damita Jo Noel (59) passed away suddenly on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at the Health Sciences Centre with her two daughters, Ronni and Mandy by her side. She was predeceased by her parents John and Leata Noel, her sister Iona Ross, and brother Randy Noel. She leaves her three sisters: Bev Noel, Sandy Johnson (Randy) and Debbie Gibson (Phil), two daughters: Ronni Harris (Colin) and Mandy Molinski; five grandchildren: Taryn, Drake, Kamiele, Leata, and Preston, step-grandchildren: Alison and Emily, many nieces and nephews, and many friends. Damita was born on July 11, 1953 in New Brunswick and was raised on the Chatham Air Force base with her five siblings. She moved to Winnipeg as a teenager, married and became a mother. Jo, as some called her, enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren; she also enjoyed creating art and always shared her creations with family and friends. Jo will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her. We know she is reunited with her favourite pet ferret Molly at the farm. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, May 27 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler at Henderson Highway. Lunch and refreshments to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to The Manitoba Ferret Association.

I only had the pleasure of meeting Jo once, and briefly. She exuded a light-hearted joy that, coupled with her warm eyes, made me feel welcome in her presence. She laughed and giggled in a youthful and carefree way that was very youthful, and her smile was infectious. May her loved ones remember that smile, and pass on the love. She may no longer be of this world, but she will always live in the hearts and thoughts of those who loved her, and whom she loved. - Posted by: Craig () on: Jun 05, 2013

Jo and I had attended school in Chatham and we both lived on the Air Base before venturing out to the prairies. We had some great childhood memories as well as our adult years. Jo was always a kind and very friendly person. We will miss her very much. Our prayers and condolences go out to her family - Posted by: Norma (Scott) Green (Friend ) on: May 26, 2013
