HELENE HUPE It is with deep sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of Hélène Hupé (nee Proulx), on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at the Hôpital Ste. Anne Hospital. She was predeceased by her daughter Maria, love of her life Lionel, father Donat Proulx, mother Marie-Jeanne (Lussier), father-in-law Edmond Hupé and mother-in-law Josette (Plouffe). She is cherished by her brother Leo (Dorothy) and sister Louise (David). She is survived by her children: Raymond (Jocelyne), Lea, Claude, Guy (Carol), Claudette (Danny), Ulysse, Jacqueline (Ben), Pauline (Louis), Monique (Perry) and niece Jeanne; her grandchildren: Josée, Eric, Sheila, Roger, Richard, Glen, Melissa, Natalie, Melanie, Stephanie, Jennifer, Samantha, Noëlle, Andre, Angele, Danielle, Lydia, Joëlle, Rémi, Emanuel, Adam, Jesslyn, and Ava; her great-grand-children: Ryley, Emilie, Janelle, Kamie, Masen, Myah, Julia, Gavin, Hélène, Maëlle, Tyren, Maxime and Zacharie. She will also be lovingly remembered by her sister-in-law Edmonde (Louis), sister-in-law Aurore, brother-in-law Bob (Therese), sister-in-law Juliette and many nieces and nephews. Hélène was born March 18, 1933. She lived in La Coulée where she raised her family along with Lionel. She worked at the Villa Youville for 25 years, enjoyed baking, playing canasta, preparing big meals for her family on Sundays and the grotto that Lionel specially made for her. The family would like to express thanks to Dr. Duval, the palliative care givers and health care aides. Special thank you to Claude for all the care he has provided for Mom through the years; to Sister Irene Rioux and sister-in-law Edmonde. In memory of Hélène, donations may be made to the family in support of a cause that was very dear to her heart a diabetic Insulin pump for her great-granddaughter. Donations can be made (In Trust) for Janelle Fillion at the Caisse Financial Group account no. 813972. A memorial service will be held on May 31, 2013 at the Ste. Anne Roman Catholic Church. A PowerPoint presentation will begin at 1:30 p.m. The memorial service will begin at 2:00 p.m., with the ash interment to follow in the church cemetery. I worked with Helene many years ago. She was a kind soul who was a very hard worker and great friend. She was always striving to improve her relationships with fellow workers and the public alike.
