ERIC BLOCH It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dearly loved husband and father Eric on Sunday, June 2, 2013. He is survived by his devoted wife Susan, his son Sweyn-Eric, his older children Frank and Janne, grandchildren along with his only sister Vibeke and family who all live in Denmark. Eric was born Copenhagen, Denmark on November 23, 1939. He lived through the Second World War, later serving in the Royal Danish Air Force. He then moved to Canada seeking adventure and a better life for his family. For 31 years Eric worked as a machinist for C.N.R. Transcona. His prior years were spent working for several companies in Winnipeg and Denmark in tool and die making. Eric was a loving, caring husband and father. He was passionate about using his hands and passing the knowledge and skill onto his sons. You could always find Eric gardening or beautifully playing the piano with all his heart and soul. We would like to thank the doctors and nurses in I.C.U. at the Victoria General Hospital for showing Eric dignity and respect in his final hours. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life will be held at Thomson "In the Park", 1291 McGillivray Blvd. on Monday, June 10 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. for family and close friends.
