ANETA EPP Peacefully on June 14, 2013, our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away at the age of 90. She was predeceased by her husband John in 1994, by her sisters Helen, Mary and Sadie, and by her brothers Peter, Martin, Tony and Abe. She is survived by one younger brother, Dick, of Calgary, Alberta. Mom is survived by her sons Garry (Diane) and Ken (Joy), as well as six grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. Aneta was born on August 26, 1922 at home near Lowe Farm, completed her schooling in Kane, and married John Martin Epp at Rosefarm Church in October, 1943. Through 50 years of marriage, she worked with John in early farming ventures and then with steady employment in Winnipeg. She was always devoted to her sons and their families, and was valued as a faithful friend and neighbour wherever she lived. Mom had a strong personal faith and a courageous spirit which sustained her through life. Over the years, she was involved in various volunteer activities at Grant Memorial Church. Mom's family would like to thank the staff at Calvary Place Personal Care Home for their professional care and compassionate kindness to her during the past four years. A celebration of Aneta's life will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at Friends Funeral Service, 2146 Main Street. Interment to follow at St. Vital Cemetery.
