ALMA AMANDA KASPER (nee RAMM) 1923 - 2013 It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother on Thursday, June 20, 2013, at the age of 90. Alma was predeceased by her husband, Peter, in 1999 and by her two sisters, Minnie Comrie and Betty Reid. She will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her children, Wayne (Bonnie) Kasper, Kathy (Ed) Johns, Dave (Marilyn) Kasper, and Winnie (Mike) Jones; her grandchildren, Gloria (Scott) Stokes, Carolyn (Collin) Doyle, Eric, Gary and Amanda Johns, Kris (Cristina) and Kurt Kasper, Jen (Rick), Rebecca and Dan Jones; her great-grandchildren, Ken, Matthew and Sarah (Rob) Rourke, Ariel and Aidan Doyle, and Lucca Kasper; her brothers Walter (Doreen) and Arthur (Simone) Ramm, and her sister Elsie (Gerry) Ridler; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Alma loved to bake, sew, knit and crochet. She was a lifelong member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church and faithfully attended Ladies Aid, the Auxiliary, L.W.M.L. and the McCalman Grey Seniors. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 24 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 708 McCalman Ave. with Rev. R. Kruesel officiating. A private interment will take place at a later date. Donations in her memory may be made to Holy Cross Lutheran Church or a charity of your choice. Special thanks to the caring staff at Concordia, Seven Oaks, Misericordia and Health Sciences. I will alway remember having lunch at Mrs. Kasper's house when I was small. Peanut butter and banana sandwiches. A few years ago I was reunited with Alma when she moved to Concordia Village and I was working with homecare. She loved to play cards and it was fun making puzzles with her. Kathy and family.... No story to tell but to tell you all that no matter how our life treats us that we are all family. Family from the Elmwood High Region...
