Martha was born May 18, 1935 in Zastrania, Slovakia and came to Canada as a two year old child with her parents and family settling in Maleb and later Stonewall, Manitoba. She was predeceased by her husband Albert who she met and married in 1954. Martha worked alongside her husband on the farm in Arondale raising a family there. After her retirement she remained on the homestead tending to her garden, lawn, and flowers. She loved to read the newspaper every day, go for walks across the field, and go for coffee and shopping in Steinbach. Martha was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Irena, brothers Stefan, Vincent, and Tony, and her sister Mary. She leaves to mourn her passing her three children Dianna, Allan, and Arlene, two grandchildren Nicole and Kayla, sisters Margaret, Anne, and Rose, and her brother John, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. We wish to thank the nurses and staff at St. Boniface and St. Anne Hospitals for their kind care of our mother and grandmother.
