Condolences & Memories (7 entries)

  • To Zinnia's family, I am very sorry for your loss of Zinnia. Zinnia and I had been friends since September of 1959 when I applied for a job at Searle Grain Company. Our boss, Dorothy Rankine, told Zinnia that she could interview and hire whomever she wished to replace Stella Black who was leaving to have a baby. Zinnia picked me! She taught me my job, and we worked very well together. We also became very good friends, and I was one of Zinnia's bridesmaids when she and Julian got married. I will forever remember Zinnia; she was a very special and kind person. Helen (Larsen) McLeod - Posted by: Helen (Larsen) McLeod (Friend) on: Jan 29, 2014

  • Mrs. Cherniak was a wonderful woman, great cook (I loved her cooking especially homemade pizza pops) and very kind person. I miss the younger days when Charlene and I would meet with her at The Bay and have lunch and then perhaps some shopping. It was a pleasure to be her neighbour growing up. Our deepest sympathy to Mr. Cherniak, Charlene, Derrick and their families. Our prayers and thoughts are with you. May God Bless You and Keep you close in your time of loss. -- The Leost Family - Posted by: Cheryl Leost-Mann (Friend) on: Jul 17, 2013
