Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDONNA MAE HORNE August 22, 1931 June 28, 2013 It is with deep sadness that we announce our mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend Donna Mae Horne passed away on June 28, 2013. At 81 years, mom was positive, vibrant, active and the most generous person we knew. She lived her life fully with thoughtfulness and humour. Everyone who knew her loved her. Her passing leaves a huge hole in our family. She will be always missed and never forgotten. Donna leaves to mourn her son Jim (Natalie) and granddaughters Alyson and Julia, her daughter and best friend Lisa, her brothers Gordon and Jim (Noeline), along with many nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her husband David, her parents Amy and Gordon, stepfather Edwin, sister Doris and sister-in-law Ann. A private celebration of her life will be held.

I have so many memories of your mom. They are all precious and happy. I just want you to know that right this very minute she is helping me through a very difficult time. I've been struggling and tonight a memory of her singing Que Sera Sera came to me and is giving me strength. Dear Lisa & Jim... I've been thinking of your mom lately and realize that the anniversary of her passing is coming up. I worked with your mom for quite a few years at my first job with the Feds in 1991. She was SO welcoming, warm and special. I will never forget her kindness. Even after she retired, I looked forward to seeing her at functions, just to be able to hear her laugh. She ALWAYS talked about her family with such LOVE. She was very proud of both of you. She was always so positive and always so interested in hearing about things that were going on in my life. It is so difficult to lose a parent.
