Condolences & Memories (7 entries)

  • You will be missed Dorothy. Who will call me now and say get your ass over here for tea. I could have never asked for a more caring person. You were a very good friend. My family will miss you a lot. Rest in peace. - Posted by: Leann, Kirk, Johanna, Adam Bartlett (Good Friend ) on: Aug 02, 2013

  • I met Dorothy at Sande's Shop. When she heard Pat & I had a hair appointment she always made sure to come and share laughs and coffee and of course hugs. It always made me smile to see her come to the shop even in her pajamas. Even in the winter she'd make her way to the shop and she always picked up the broom and swept the hair from the floor. Then she'd make sure everyone had coffee or water to drink. Dorothy had a beautiful smile and certainly had no trouble speaking her mind when necessary. She loved her Betty Boop collections. She was quite a lady! She raised 8 children on her own which is amazing itself, but she still found the time to help others. RIP Dorothy. It is your time to rest but you will be missed very much. Hugs. - Posted by: Wendy Hatch (friend) on: Aug 02, 2013

  • My Grandmother was a feisty yet loving woman who could always break the tension in a room by making us all laugh. She would gladly to tell you to "Shut Up" when she was talking, which Is what I loved about her the most. She could become friends with anybody and everybody young and old. She will be greatly missed -Love you forever Cathy, Samantha, Kayla, Daniel. - Posted by: Kayla Deitz (Grandaughter) on: Jul 28, 2013

  • We will all miss Dorothy at the shop on her many daily visits for coffee. If she wasn't home everyone knew where she was and it certainly was not very far from home. Dorothy's help was always well appreciated and I will have to sweep up myself now. - Posted by: Sande Blundell (good friend) on: Jul 28, 2013

  • Met the "old lady" at Encore, doing her hair. She was like my second grandmother. Loved coming over for tea with the old gal. She always forgot my name because of all the girls that Sande had over the years so I told her to call me bingo..which she did..when she remembered. Always made is laugh when she came into the shop. She will certainly be missed by us all at Salon 855 - Posted by: Lara (friend ) on: Jul 27, 2013
