MARTIN SMITH On Sunday, August 4, 2013 our beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Martin Fredrick Smith, aged 87, passed away at home. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Olga (nee Pohle), daughter Lois Jaman and great-granddaughter Mackenzie Jaman, as well as his parents and brother George. He will be lovingly remembered by his son Gerald (Carol), daughters Iris Probetts (John) and Audra Summers (James), son-in-law Peter Jaman (Ann), as well as six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, siblings Bertha (Schnieder), Eva (Lowry), Art and Albert, and sister-in-law Erika Smith. Dad was a carpenter by trade and was employed by Langner Brothers Construction and the Winnipeg School Division. He was a hardworking man with a strong work ethic. He loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed gardening, hunting and fishing. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 9 at 10:30 a.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Avenue E., Beausejour, MB. Viewing will be held prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Beausejour Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Val Dooma, William Jaman, Greg Jaman, John Probetts, Bruce Robson and Derek Smith. Thank you to the Health Sciences Centre Emergency and ENT Units, Dr. Bergen and many wonderful neighbours.
