KARL FRITZ LEHMANN It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved brother Karl on August 7, 2013 after a courageous fight with cancer. Karl is survived by his brothers Klaus Peter Lehmann (Carolyn), Hans Jurgen Lehmann and family, Horst Dieter Schmidt (Arlene), sisters Christine Kalawarny (Garry) and Marianne Prokopetz, all of Winnipeg. He is also survived by sister Waltraud Dankwart (Paul) of St. Malo, MB and brother Hans Gunter Schmidt (Susan) of Vancouver, BC. Karl leaves to mourn many nieces, nephews and other extended family as well. He was predeceased by both of his parents, and brothers Karlheinz, Horst Werner and sister Hildegard. Karl was born in Frankfurt/Main, Germany on September 5, 1936. He came to Canada in 1955 with the family and settled in Winnipeg where he spent his remaining years. He found employment with the T. Eaton Co. and also worked at various other jobs in the agriculture, manufacturing, woodworking and construction industries. He developed a keen interest in electronics and spent many happy hours collecting and tinkering with various electronic equipment. The family wishes to thank the staff at Poseidon Personal Care Home, the staff at H.S.C. and staff at W.R.H.A. Access Downtown and Home Care program for their care and compassion shown to Karl during his illness. You will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved you. Rest in peace, Karl For those wishing to join the family to say goodbye, a Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, August 21 at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler and Henderson Hwy.
