Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY AMANDA HARRISON On the morning of August 19, 2013, our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away peacefully at home at the age of 98. She was predeceased by her parents Harold and Mary Nugent, as well as her husband John. She is survived by her three sons, Murray (Thelma), Robert (Linda) and Harold (Jackie), as well as by 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson and one brother Charlie (Cook) Nugent of Neepawa. Mom was born in Gravelbourg, Saskatchewan in 1914 and lived there on the homestead until the mid 1930s when she moved with her mother and brother to the Stonewall area. Mom earned her teaching certificate and taught in the rural Stonewall area before marrying Dad and raising their three boys on the family farm. In 1982 they retired to their home in Stonewall and Mom later moved to her present home at Stonewood Place in 2010. Mom was active in 4-H, the Tecumseh Ladies Group and the Horticultural Society over the years. She was very well known in town for her daily "walk" for coffee in the morning and her garage sale excursions with Rose. The family would like to thank mom's special care workers that made it possible for her to stay at home until her passing. A service will be held on Friday, August 23, 2013 at the Stonewall United Church at 11:00 a.m. Reverend Leonard Oracheski officiating, interment to follow in Grassmere Cemetery. Our sincere sympathy to you all at this time of your Mom's passing. She was a great little lady, we always enjoyed her visit as we walked by her home on fifth ave.
