RAYMOND SEVERT PEARSON It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Raymond Severt Pearson on August 20, 2013 at Saint Boniface Hospital, Winnipeg, MB at the age of 77 with the family at his side. Ray was born on November 8, 1935 to Paul and Ida Pearson, he was the eldest child in the family. Left to mourn his passing are his devoted wife Savi, his loving stepchildren Elizabeth, Salina, Roxanne and Richard, many grandchildren, his brother Gordon (Lillian) and his sister-in-law Cathy, along with his nieces and nephew. Ray was predeceased by both his parents and his brother Arthur Pearson. Ray attended Tec-Voc High School and graduated with his grade twelve. He then went to work for Cargill Grains for forty years. He is a current member of the Alcoholics Anonymous, Winnipeg Group. Ray loved playing the horses at the Assiniboine race track where he had many friends and acquaintances. While Ray was busy calculating his daily pick, Savi would be beside him quietly summing up what her picks should be. The family would like to thank the St. Boniface Hospital Staff for the excellent care received. Special thanks as well to family and friends whom were there for us in our time of need. A Memorial Service will be held at First Presbyterian Church, 61 Picardy Place, on Saturday, August 24 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba.
