Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLEONARD CHARLES WALSTROM October 10, 1933 - September 4, 2013 Leonard Charles Walstrom, born October 10, 1933, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2013 at Rosewood Lodge, in Stonewall. Leaving to mourn him is his wife of 38 years, Agnes Walstrom of Stonewall, Manitoba. Leonard leaves his children Edna Sommers (David), grandchildren Chris and Jennie and five great-grandchildren; Lana Seifert, grandchildren Vanessa and Sean Bieder and one great-grandson. Agnes's children Lynne (Gerry) Hesketh, Bob (Debbie) Strong, Mae (Dennis) Lyon, Gloria (Alan) Kilgallen, Ted (Dianna) Rothwell and Cindy Westfall, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well. Leonard loved all the children. Leonard is predeceased by his mother Mary; siblings, Lavina, Jimmy and Eddie. One sister left to mourn is Cecelia; nieces Shirley, Linda and Jean; nephews Wayne and Jimmy Jr. and numerous cousins. Leonard was a happy-go-lucky person who was always smiling and had a good laugh over many small things. Everyone seemed to enjoy his sometimes strange sense of humour. He was always a big tease to Agnes, who sometimes told him to go "you know where", jokingly. They were a great couple and were very happy until they both became ill and were separated, one in Stonewall and one in Selkirk nursing homes. Leonard always asked for Agnes and where she was. He missed her a lot. Leonard was a very good guitar player and singer, often Agnes and Leonard would sing together at Crocus Manor where they lived and everyone enjoyed them very much. No formal service will take place at this time. Cremation is to take place and burial to follow at Stonewall Cemetery, where he will wait for his wife to join him. A service will be done at that time for both of them. A special Thank You for the help at Rosewood Lodge for the care that he was given his last few days and during his time there. Rest in peace Len. The distance made it very hard to know each other but I will always remember you teaching me about mechanics and the book you gave me. I will always picture you laughing and happy. - Posted by: garett hesketh (grandson) on: Sep 09, 2013
