Abe and I were part of a provincial MB youth committee back in the '60s. He was a great companion in a common task, an enthusiastic and very attractive youth leader, and willing to try anything that might bring the young people together and build them up in the faith. I'll always remember what a joy it was to work together. Whenever we met in the years that followed, invariably both of us understood that it was that experience that drew us to one another. In his later years, though he had lost so much in terms of memory, there was something of the friendly spirit which he exuded earlier in life that always remained. He most certainly knew the Shepherd of Souls intimately and well. - Posted by: Harold Jantz (Friend) on: Sep 16, 2013
