MICHAEL (MIKE) TUDRYN Peacefully with his family by his side, Michael, a husband and father, passed away on September 19, 2013 at the age of 69. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Diana, children Stefenie (Chester), Steven as well as Robert and Lori of Toronto, Ontario. Michael was predeceased by his father Ignacy in 1966 and his mother Maria in 2004. Michael worked as a draftsman with the Manitoba Government for over 33 years and retired in 1999. He made many lasting friendships in his career with many of those friendships going well beyond the office walls, remaining strong to this day. Michael enjoyed the game of golf whether it was playing a round or watching it on the television; he always loved telling the story about his hole in one. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time at the cottage at Davidson Lake. He also enjoyed repairing vehicles with his good buddies at Autocraft. Michael was a wonderful man with honesty and integrity; a loving and proud father; a wonderful husband and a person who always helped his friends without hesitation when help was asked. He would want us to continue on with that honesty and integrity, and continue to extend a helping hand to those who need it. His absence will be deeply felt. His courage, strength and beautiful smile gave us comfort and hope. We will cling to our treasured moments and wonderful memories that we have made with him. He has left us with the greatest gift of all, the love of family. Honouring his request, there will be no funeral service. The family is requesting that, in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to the St. Boniface Hospital (Research) Foundation. The family also encourages those who are able, to make a blood donation in Michael's honour.

We wish God's blessing for the whole family in your difficult times. Know that Michael "is not dead but asleep." As the Bible says- on emergence from the dead, you will see him again. - Posted by: Stanisław, Michał, Ignacy i Krystyna Tudryn and their children (cousin, family from Poland) on: Sep 27, 2013

Sorry to hear Mike has 'moved on'. I sure got along with Mike at the Branch for the 33 years he worked there. We went thru many 're-organizations' together, many fun events and a few work jobs. I was happy to sell him my old Honda XL350 motorcycle for a friend of his. I imagined he had some fun outings. I'm sure going to miss his mischievous smile. The words of compassion. It was a great experience to meet Michael back in 1974, when I came to spend a couple of weeks in Canada. This wonderful time spent with Michael and his family will remain in my heart. - Posted by: Ignacy Tudryn (cousin, family from Poland) on: Sep 27, 2013

My brother Stan and I were childhood friends living on Hallet St in Point Douglas at around the ages of 10 or 11. I remember really liking him and said that when I grew up and had a son that's what I would name him and I did. I never forgot him. - Posted by: margaret stagg nee sokolowski (childhood friend) on: Sep 23, 2013
