Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free, I'm following the path God laid for me. I took his hand when I heard him call, I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day, To laugh, to love, to work or play. Tasks left undone must stay that way. I found that peace at the close of the day. If my parting has left a void, Then fill it with remembered joy. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss- Ah, these things I too will miss. Be not burdened with time of sorrow. I wish for you the sunshine of tomorrow. My life's been full. I savored much. Good friends, good times, A loved one's touched. Perhaps my time seemed all too brief, Don't lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift up your heart and share with me, God wanted me now, He set me free. (Author - "unknown".) In His Grace...until we meet again friend. - Posted by: Lon Johnson (friend) on: Nov 24, 2013

Kim and family - our hearts are sad that our Rac Trac is no longer with us. We lost our son to cancer in 2005 and we shared stories with Abe. I can't thank you enough for letting him spread his wings and come to visit. We only talked through email and gas buddies sites but as soon as we picked him up at the airport, it was like we had been together for years. He talked so fondly about you, Kim, and his kids. We could feel the love that he had for all of you. I know the holiday season will be hard but know the Texas gas buddies are thinking about you and sending our love. Please, feel free to contact us. Gas Buddies always. Mimi and George Rose - Posted by: Mimi and George Rose (Gas Buddies for over 10 years) on: Nov 23, 2013

Abe will be greatly missed, for his family and ours have been in the automotive repair business for as long as I can remember. We had so much in common. We had many long conversations together about our concerns, as well as problems with different vehicles. Those moments will always be cherished. We lost a very special friend who was gentle, caring and most helpful to those he served. He always did his best. He had a good heart. Our heartfelt condolences to his wife and family. - Posted by: Gordon, Audrey & Todd Holmes (Holmes & Sons) (friend & business associate) on: Oct 10, 2013

Abe it was an honor to know you as long as I have and was so saddened by the news of you "going home". I knew you as someone with a great sense of humor, huge heart, genuine relationship with your Savior, and lots of love for your family and friends. I was thankful that Facebook was a way that we kept in touch over these last few years! You have left a great legacy for your family Abe and you and Kim have done a wonderful job! To Kim, Matthew, Timothy, Ashley, Joan, and Paul... my heart and prayers go out to you all as you adjust to the absence of Abe. I pray that the love and support of family and friends will get you through the days ahead. I'll leave you with this phrase that I've thought lots about over the summer... I walk down memory lane because I love running into you. I hope that brings some comfort..hugs - Posted by: Sophia Jelinek (Friend) on: Oct 10, 2013

Great guy. I'll never forget how he was there for me ten years ago when I needed a hug on my way into St. B. I have not to this date, and I doubt I ever will, meet a more easy going person. Lots of love from us to Kim, Mathew, Timothy, and Ashley - Posted by: Daniel Dawson, Jennifer Adair, and Quinn (Cousin-in-law) on: Oct 10, 2013

Abe and I forged a bond when I worked at Dawson Ent. He was someone I always looked forward to seeing, so friendly, funny and uplifting. He also gave the best hugs on the planet. I'll miss you Abe, and will never forget your vibrancy. My condolences to Kim, Mathew, Timothy and Ashley. - Posted by: Kayla Dawson (family) on: Oct 09, 2013

Abe looked after keeping our vehicles running. He fixed them right and could be trusted not to steer us wrong or gouge on the price. A great neighbourhood businessman that we miss. At the auction sale, knowing I ride a Harley, he mentioned to me that owning one was a "bucket list item" that he would likely not fulfill. I was glad to accommodate part of that item by taking him on the Breast Cancer ride a couple of weeks later. He had a good ride with a good group of guys. Ride on Abe. - Posted by: Daryl Nielsen (Customer & friend) on: Oct 09, 2013

Kim and Family We were very saddened to learn of Abe's passing. I met Abe in 1982 when he joined Dawson's Enterprises. Abe and I had similar automotive interests and over the years we shared many automotive experiences. He was always a delight to talk with and was an honest and excellent technician. He will certainly be missed. Please accept our condolences. William and Arlene Gray - Posted by: Wm Gray (Friend) on: Oct 09, 2013

Abe, you were an outstanding character. Great attitude, interesting conversations and very easy going. Laurie will miss you greatly. She has always talked about the ways she would harass you at the Garage when she worked there. And she will forever cherish your birthday greetings (when you would remember them!). With your children you leave a legacy of life, laughter and love and they will make you proud. Guide them with your spirit each and every day. When I strip the threads on my cars I'll be thinking of you. You will always be missed and remembered. Farewell my friend. - Posted by: Brent & Laurie Polson (Family) on: Oct 09, 2013
