Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOSEPH (JOE) OLYNYK Joseph (Joe) Olynyk entered into heaven on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at the age of 83, due to complications from Parkinson's disease. Joe was born in Sundown, Manitoba on August 26, 1930 to Fedor and Sophia Olynyk. Joe and his wife Jean lived in Fort Frances, Ontario, where he worked in the paper making industry for 42 years. They retired to Steinbach, Manitoba in 1995. Joe was predeceased by his wife Jean in 2012, just 29 days short of their 60th wedding anniversary. Joe is lovingly remembered by his children Denise (Russ) Joss, Terry (Rhonda) Olynyk and Maria (Bill) Dobransky, along with eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Birchwood Funeral Chapel in Steinbach, Manitoba on Saturday, October 12 at 11:00 a.m. followed by a luncheon. Interment will follow at the St. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Cemetery in Sundown, Manitoba. Vichnaya Pamyat. Obituary information also available at www.birchwoodfuneralchapel.mb.ca.
