Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • Sharon, I went to school with you at Ness and JT. My Mom also worked with your Mom at Oakview for a while (Sonja Anderson). What a lovely obituary notice. My thoughts and prayers are with you! - Posted by: Terri-Ann Mattiasson (Aquaintance) on: Nov 05, 2013

  • I worked with Emily for several years prior to her retirement from nursing. She was the ultimate caring, efficient person who had staff in awe of her. I admired her skill as a nurse, loved her sense of humour and enjoyed her friendship. She will truly be missed - Posted by: Carol Rowley (I worked with Emily at Oakview) on: Oct 31, 2013

  • I was sad to see the news of Emily's passing. Please accept my sincere condolences. It also brought back so many good memories of our some 20 years together at Oakview. Emily is one of those special people I was fortunate enough to have in my life. Emily was my mentor and support ever since the day in 1970 that I was hired at Oakview. She was a patient and excellent teacher and she certainly faced many challenges with our group of girls that loved a good prank! She taught me that anything in life is possible if you work hard enough and want it badly enough. She was a huge influence in how my life was shaped. A kind, fun loving understanding compassionate person. I loved her so much as a "boss" and friend. Maureen and Sharon, you were her pride and joy.
