MARGUERITE ANGELE HODGINS (DOYLE) 1921 2013 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, great- grandmother, sister, and friend Marguerite Angele Hodgins on November 5, 2013. Her sister Bridget, son Dean, and daughter Sharon were with her near the end and she passed away peacefully at the age of 92. Marguerite was predeceased by her husband Arthur in 2006, as well as by her parents Philip and Annie Doyle, her sisters Annie and Mary, and her brothers Philip and John. She is survived by her sister Bridget as well as her children Larry, Murray, Guy, Dean, and Sharon. She is also survived by grandchildren Ryan, Rachell, Matt, Shannon, Cory, Connie, Andrew, Michael, and Stephanie, as well as great-grandchildren Caelan, Reiley, Sabrina, Cali, Pazia, Makenna, and Isabelle. Our mother was born and raised in Manigotagan and married her husband Arthur in 1941. They resided in that community until 1952 when they moved their small family to Winnipeg. They eventually settled in Transcona in 1955, where she lived for the remainder of her life. Marguerite was a thoughtful person that took special pride in her care of children as a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, babysitter, and friend; and she will be remembered fondly by many whose lives she touched over the years. The Hodgins family would like to extend special thanks to the staff of River East Personal Care Home for their kindness and loving care that our mother received while residing in that facility. As per her wishes, cremation has taken place and Marguerite will be privately interred with her beloved husband Arthur "Buster" Hodgins at Green Acres Cemetery on Highway 1 East at Navin Road, Winnipeg. A celebration of her life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion #7 (Transcona) at 117 Regent Avenue East, Winnipeg, MB on Friday, November 22 at 1:00 p.m. GREEN ACRES Funeral Home and Cemetery Hwy #1 E at Navin Road, Winnipeg, MB (204) 222-3241 Condolences may be sent to www.greenacresfuneralhome.com
