PETER PANIDISZ It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Peter on November 19, 2013 at the age of 86 years. He will be missed by his wife Ilona, sons Basil (Sharon) and Tony (Theresa), grandchildren Andria, Michael and Lorenzo, numerous relatives in Greece and many friends. Special thanks to the staff at St. Boniface Hospital Dialysis Unit. A memorial service will be held Monday, November 25 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler at Henderson Hwy. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation.

Dear Panidisz Family, Last night (New Year's Eve), my son asked me about my Mother's siblings and if they all lived in Greece. I told him that her youngest brother Antoni, known to you as Peter Panidisz, lived in Winnipeg, Canada and the last time I saw him was when he came to Chicago for my Mother's (his Sister's) funeral in 1987. This information prompted my son, Louis, to get on the internet and that is when your Father's death notice came up. I truly believe his spirit is with us, along with Vassilikie (my Mom) encouraging us to connect and become acquainted as we are cousins. It would be great to get in touch. My Mom's Mother was Fani Vafea and her children were Iakovos, Kosta, Vassilike, Nikos, Tasia and Antoni. May his memory be eternal. Kalliope Phillips (nee) Djikas.
