Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryTERRENCE (TERRY) FARRINGTON It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Terrence (Terry) Farrington on Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at Gimli Hospital at the age of 77. Terry was predeceased by his wife Mary in 1986. He will be lovingly remembered by his children Eileen and Phillip (Janet) and his eight grandchildren. Dad was born in Liverpool, England on February 9, 1936. Moving to Canada in 1958 making Manitoba his home, that same year he started his career with Canada Safeway and continued there until he retired in 1995. Dad was a faithful member of the Royal Canadian Legion from the day he stepped foot in Winnipeg. He became a Canadian Citizen in 1974. Dad loved his golf all summer long and his curling all winter long. He enjoyed his retirement days in Winnipeg Beach, and his daily outings to the Roadhouse, where he will be missed. The family would like to thank the Nurses at Gimli Hospital for their love and care of our dad, along with Tom, Sandy and his neighbour. There will be a gathering at the Roadhouse in Winnipeg Beach, Hwy #9 on Thursday, December 12 from 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Terry's memory to the Manitoba Lung Association. Terry will always be remembered for teaching me all about Meat Cutting and Sausage making... I believe I was taught by the best! Thank you for being such a great mentor... A good friend who my brother and I will sadly miss on our trips to St. Malo and the Cambridge Hotel to visit with Davey and enjoy a few libations together.
