NEIL LYNN HANSEN September 23, 1948 - December 7, 2013 Neil quietly passed away on December 7, 2013, in the comfort of his home, surrounded by love and peace. His courageous battle with brain cancer is now over. Neil leaves behind family and friends who will treasure the special times and will miss him dearly. Neil was born and raised in New Zealand. He came to Canada in his early twenties and spent most of his working years as an educator. His commitment to students was unmistakable and his desire to integrate technology into the classroom was a benefit to all. He was passionate about many hobbies, such as carpentry, gardening, and cooking. Neil enjoyed simple things in life: home-cooked meals, the warm sun, drives around town, sitting by the fire, visiting his family in New Zealand, and spending time with those he loved. Many thanks to all the kind hearts that helped him along this journey. Neil, you will be missed and will always hold a very special place in our hearts. Rest in peace and know that we love you forever. Family and friends are invited to a celebration of Neil's life on Saturday, December 21. For more information contact Allison at 204-261-7365.
