  • Albert was a much liked former classmate at Stonewall Collegiate. Years later it turns out that he was related to my St. Vital neighbours, Wilf and Lil Smith, as well as cousin to Carolyn.   • Once, since 1967, Albert and I met face to face. Prior to 1967 we chummed together almost every day going to school or playing pool at Sam's in Stony Mountain. We talked about many things growing up, he even taught me to play chess with him. I considered Albert to be one of my closest friends but careers separated us. This is very hard for me to accept, the death of a very dear friend that I was so very close to so many years ago.
