LOUIS VERMETTE 1956 - 2013 It is with much sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Louis Vermette, aged 57 years, beloved husband of Karen Vermette on December 19, 2013 at the Riverview Health Centre, Winnipeg, MB. Louis was born on July 4, 1956 in Morris, Manitoba, and raised in St. Jean Baptiste, the youngest son of 13 children. He was married to the love of his life, Karen, for 31 years. Louis was born a fighter and he loved his hockey, especially the Montreal Canadians. He also loved Karen's many visits at Riverview. Besides his loving wife Karen, Louis is survived by two brothers, three sisters and many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbours. A memorial service will be held at Green Acres Funeral Home, Highway #1 East at Navin Road, Winnipeg, MB on Friday, December 27, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at a later date in Green Acres Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, if friends so wish, donations may be made in Louis memory to the Muscular Dystrophy Canada, 204-825 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3A 1M5.
