DAVID JAMES SOMERS David James Somers, dearly beloved husband of Joanne, of Winnipeg, passed away December 28, 2013 at their cottage near Pinawa, at the age of 49. David was predeceased by his parents Dorothy (born in Winnipeg) and Everett Somers (born in Carman). Dave leaves to mourn, Joanne, son Jordan, and beloved pets Lacy and Rocky. He will also be missed by his brother Dan-el (Shelley) and children Scott, Jeff, and Josh; sisters: Patricia Anderson (John Steves) and their children Kristen (Mike) and great-niece Savanna, Nick and Sheldon; Linda Schellenberg (Randy) and Cintra; sisters-in-law Shauna Kolaski (Ron) and children Adam (Joyce), Chad (Aynsley), and Angela, and Pam Demeule (Jim) and children Tyler and Katie; as well as parents-in-law Geraldine and Al Martin. David was born in Carman, and was the co-owner of Electrical Concepts. Funeral Service will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 3, 2014 at Transcona Memorial United Church, 209 Yale Ave. W., Winnipeg, with Rev. Carol Fletcher officiating. Ushers will be Chad, Tyler, Jaret and Tommy, of Electrical Concepts. In lieu of flowers, should friends so desire, donations may be made in David's memory to The Canadian Diabetes Association, 200-310 Broadway Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3C 0S6 or Heart & Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 200-6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6.
