RANDALL CHARLES POOLE March 8, 1961 - December 29, 2013 After a lengthy battle with cancer it is with great sadness we report the passing of Randy Poole. Randy is survived by his loving and devoted wife Tammy, precious daughters Nicole and Rachelle (Matt), parents Joan and Bill Poole, brothers Chris (Diane), Kim (Sandra), Darryl and Graem, mother-in-law Sharon King (late Lloyd), brother-in-law Ryan (Daylene), as well as many nieces and nephews. Randy was born and raised in Manitoba. He attended school in McAuley, Virden and Winnipeg. Bearing his father's desire in the farming industry Randy loved all of its facets whether it be mechanical challenges or challenges of farming on the prairie. Randy developed building skills while working with Poole Enterprises and the joy of building stayed with him. In the 70's when computers were rare while attending school in Fort La Bosse School Division Randy developed a new love beyond farming. He attended Herzing Institute in Winnipeg which was the beginning of a loved and successful career. Randy met Tammy met in 1985 at a nursing school social and after a little subtle pursuance Randy was hooked. They married in 1988 and bought their first home. Randy's years learning from his dad on the farm helped Randy develop the skills needed for a fixer upper. The birth of Nicole in 1992 made that fixer upper a home. Rachelle arrived in 1994 and that little house was just not enough. Randy designed and built the home of his dreams for his girls in Stonewall in 1996. While in Stonewall Randy made many friends through his love of curling and truly missed it this last year. In the last couple years Randy developed a passion for motorcycles and spent as much time as possible exploring. He was very proud of his daughter Nicole getting her licence this year despite never having been on a bike in her life. He did not get to ride with her but will be with her in spirit this spring. Randy was proud of Rachelle for pursuing a career in his field of work. His girls meant everything to him. We would like to thank the many doctors, nurses, EMS, medical staff involved in Randy's care from CancerCare Manitoba, Princess Margaret, Health Sciences Centre and Stonewall. Randy appreciated every effort made and there were many as he left no stone unturned to fight this battle. Funeral services will be held at MacKenzie Funeral Home in Stonewall, MB on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. MACKENZIE FUNERAL HOME STONEWALL (204) 467-2525 mackhome@mts.net
