DIANNE IRENE MERKE (Synkiw) Mrs. Dianne Merke, aged 56 years, beloved wife of Alvin of St. Andrews, Mb. passed away after a short illness on Thursday, April 29, 2004 at the Seven Oaks Hospital. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her husband Alvin, her daughter Debra (Andy) and their daughter Georgia of Winnipeg; her son Darren (Kathy) and their son Dylan of Winnipeg; her sisters, Edie Bland (Carl) of East Selkirk, MB., Linda Lenko (Gerry) of Gilbert Plains, MB., also her nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents Emil and Patricia Lenko and her brother Raymond Lenko. She worked at Canada Safeway for 18 years and had previously been employed at the River East School Division. Friends may view on Tuesday, May 4 at the Sobering Funeral Chapel from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 5 at 2:00 p.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church, Gertrude and First Street N., Beausejour with Rev. Hugh Laidlaw officiating. Interment will follow in the Zion Lutheran cemetery.
