Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryIMELDA MARIE BENOIT July 24, 1927 - January 7, 2014 It is with saddened hearts that the family of Imelda Marie Benoit announces her passing on January 7, 2014 at the age of 86. Predeceased by her husband Doue Paul Benoit, daughter Florence Benoit and granddaughter Charlene Kork. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Robert (Cindy), Claire, Eugene, Pauline (Henry), Linda, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brother and sisters. Imelda was born in Mariapolis, Manitoba on July 24, 1927. Imelda then married Doue Paul Benoit and settled in Winnipeg to raise their family. Imelda loved life. She loved flowers, music, dancing, camping, playing bingo and parties. She loved her career as a Health Care Aide at the St. Boniface Hospital where she worked for many years. Most of all Imelda loved spending time with family, friends and her adorable pets. Imelda's memories will forever be cherished in the hearts of those who knew her. "If love could have saved you, you would have lived forever." We love you Mom/Meme k A celebration of Mom's life will be held at the Holy Cross Church, 252 Dubuc St. in Winnipeg on Monday, January 13, 2014 at 12:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
