WILLIAM (BILL) HIEBERT August 12, 1933 - January 15, 2014 Peacefully on January 15, 2014 Bill Hiebert went to be with his Heavenly Father. Rejoicing in his eternal healing and greatly missed by his wife Rose, of 56 years, children Bernice and Dale Gislason, Bruce and Betsy Hiebert, Bertha and Garry Dyck, Betsy and Russell Klassen, Brenda and John Olfert; 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Bill was predeceased by his parents, Martin and Katharina (Schroeder), brothers Martin and wife Lizzie, Pete, Harry, Jake and wife Ann. Bill is survived by his sister Tina Wiebe, brothers John and Victor with wife Helen, and sisters-in-law Tina Hiebert and Laura Hiebert, along with many nieces, nephews and friends. Bill grew up and farmed near Plum Coulee, later moved to Winkler and then to Winnipeg. He accepted Christ as his saviour in 1945. His walk with God was filled with passion and integrity. For many years Bill and Rose were members of the Mennonite Brethren church; more recently calling Gateway Church their place of worship and community. A come and go viewing will be held on Sunday, January 19 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Friends Funeral Service, 2146 Main St., Winnipeg. Interment at Grosswiede Mennonite Brethren Cemetery on January 20 at 10:00 a.m. Funeral service at McIvor Avenue Mennonite Brethren Church, 200 McIvor Ave., Winnipeg on Monday, January 20 at 2:00 p.m. Donations may be made to Secret Place Ministries or the Gideon's Bible Society, available at the service
