KARL-HEINZ DIDZUN Karl-Heinz Didzun, age 74, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 17, 2014 at Riverview Health Centre. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Maria; children, Ruth and James (Michelle), and grandchildren, Dylon, Taylor, Tyler, Trevor and Caden. He is survived by four sisters, one brother, four sisters-in-law, three brothers-in-law and their families. He was born in Germany on March 13, 1939. He immigrated to Canada in 1958 where he met the love of his life, Maria Frischbutter. They were married on October 5, 1963 and celebrated 50 years of marriage in October 2013. He worked as a Volkswagen Automobile Technician and willingly shared his expertise with anyone who asked. He was a faithful member of the North Kildonan Mennonite Brethren Church where he served as an usher, sang in the choir and was a devoted leader in the Christian Service Brigade. He loved spending time with his family and was quite proud of everything that grew in his garden. Anyone who met him was immediately welcomed with a warm smile and genuine heart. We would like to thank all the people from Home Care, Concordia Hospital and Riverview Health Centre for their help, care and support during our father's illness. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 23, at North Kildonan Mennonite Brethren Church, 1315 Gateway Rd. If friends so desire, donations may be made to Union Gospel Mission.
