Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryIMELDA PERREAULT (nee THERRIEN) July 1, 1924 - January 19, 2014 It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Imelda Perreault, aged 89, at Action Marguerite Valade, on January 19, 2014. Imelda will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Lynne Barr (Tibor), daughter-in-law Colleen Perreault, grandsons Christopher, Ryan, Sheldon, Cory, sister Reine Nesbitt, brother Guy Therrien (Jeannette), family in Montréal, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Fernand and son Bryan, parents Alphonse and Doralice Therrien, sisters Léa and Florence. Imelda was born in Lorette and attended Lorette Centre School. During her lifetime, she held several occupations. In September 1951, she married Fernand Perreault from Montréal. Imelda excelled as a homemaker. Her home was always immaculate and organized. She travelled extensively with her late son, Bryan, throughout Canada and in Europe. She always had a great smile for everyone. A special thanks goes to the incredible, compassionate and caring nurses and staff at Action Marguerite Valade. You are amazing examples of what it means to care. Also to Reine Nesbitt and Rosa Ducharme who have shown generous support and prayers which has helped sustained us during that journey. In keeping with Imelda's wishes, cremation has taken place and a Memorial Mass celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at St. Bernadette Church, 820 Cottonwood Road, Winnipeg at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be held at a later date. Flowers gratefully declined. If you so wish, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6 or to the charity of your choice. I recognized your mom at a Remembrance Day function held at Action Marguerite while visiting my father. I had a brief conversation with her that day and made sure to say hello each time I saw her there while visiting dad. She always greeted me with a smile.
