FREDA DEMKEY On February 12, 2014, Freda Demkey passed away after a long battle with cancer, at the age of 68 years. She will be greatly missed by her husband of 50 years Harold Demkey, son Brad Demkey (Kris Demkey), six grandchildren: Michelle Sabovitch, Jared Sabovitch, Chandni Sabovitch, Steven Demkey, Cassidy Demkey and Cooper Demkey, as well as many relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her loving daughter Laura Sabovitch. As per Freda's wishes, no funeral services will be held. Cremation has already taken place. Freda has left a few words to her friends and family in lieu of a service. "To me life is all about family, family makes your life. Some and I say some but not too many people have friends that they have had since they were kids, like fifty years or more. Well you can't call them friends, they have moved to become family, these are very lucky people and I have been a very lucky person. I know it and thank you all." Love Freda

I have been very lucky to have experienced so many things with my grandma. The time with one another was not enough but I hold on to the memories. Every time I win a bingo, black Friday shop, try to figure out a recipe or just every day know she will be with me.
