Valtina was predeceased by her husband Allan Mayo, parents, Chlista and Roderick Garson, brothers Allen, Bryden and Joe Garson, sister Annie Sinclair and a sibling in infancy, along with brothers-in-law Harold Harper and Clifford Cook. Valtina worked with Winnipeg Freshwater Fisheries for 33 years as a lead-hand. She worked very diligently and skillfully at her job. Valtina loved her grandchildren dearly whom she enjoyed babysitting. She enjoyed spending time with her family and often attended family gatherings in Fisher River with her sisters. She also liked bingo, Texas Hold'Em tournaments and her regular VLT visits to Charlee's Restaurant and the LaSalle Hotel. Valtina was a lady with a huge sense of humour. She was well known for her gift of laughter and her smile that was enjoyed by so many. We will truly miss her.
