ROMAN TARAS HALKEWYCZ 1917-2014 It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Roman Taras Halkewycz, beloved husband, father, and grandfather on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at Seven Oaks Hospital. Roman is survived by his wife, Maria Olha; his daughter, Oksana Shulakewych (Lubomyr); his son, Bohdan (Maria); and by his grandchildren, Markian Shulakewych, Zdan (Kelly Kess) Shulakewych, and Andrei Halkewycz. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 28 at the Ukrainian Catholic Metropolitan Cathedral of Sts. Volodymyr and Olha, 115 McGregor Street, Winnipeg.   • Please accept the deepest condolences of our family on the death of your husband, father, father-in-law and dido. We were very sorry to hear of Roman's death. We were fortunate to have spent time with him and his wife on a trip to Ukraine. He was an intelligent, energetic man dedicated to his family and his community. He especially wanted to see a truly free Ukraine ruled by law and respect for human rights. Roman passed along his strong values and personal integrity to his entire family.
