Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryABRAHAM DERKSEN December 16, 1922 - February 20, 2014 Peacefully on February 20, 2014, Abraham Derksen, aged 91 years, went to be with his heavenly Father. Abe is survived by his loving wife Ida, his daughter Eunice and husband Rob, son Martin and wife Susann and numerous grandchildren. Abe was predeceased by his first wife Olga (Schroeder), brothers Henry and Cornelius, sisters Helen (Goertzen), Olga and Agnes, sister-in-law Verna and brother-in-law John Goertzen. Abe was a lifelong farmer who deeply loved the land. He farmed near Alexander, MB until his retirement to Brandon and subsequently Niverville, MB. Abe had a deep and abiding love for the Lord, praying diligently for his family and friends. He will be missed but we rejoice together with him for his glorious homecoming in Heaven. The funeral service was held on Sunday, February 23, 2014 in Steinbach, MB. Interment was held on Monday, February 24, 2014 in Brandon.
