Condolences & Memories (4 entries)

  • I just heard of Mrs. Klippenstein's passing. I am sorry I missed the funeral. My heart goes out to Mr. Klippenstein and family. I spent lots of time at The Klippenstein household with my life friend Nathan. I truly enjoyed or should I say, I was truly entertained by Laverna's formal yet oh so caring interactions with guests. In the last 30 years or so it was mainly a phone conversation on Christmas eve. Thanks for the many "forced" piano sing-a-longs in your living room! - Posted by: Rennie Schulz (family friend) on: Mar 14, 2014

  • Dear Uncle Lawrence and cousins, I was saddened by the news of Aunt LaVerna passing, my memories of her are many fond ones a few being her smile, laughter and kindness....a very special lady. At this time I am not able to make the trip to Winnipeg, my thoughts are with you all at this difficult time. Sincerely, Cheryl - Posted by: Cheryl Robertson (Niece) on: Mar 07, 2014

  • Dear Lawrence and family Just having spoken with you recently, we had no idea of Laverna's condition. We are so sorry, and do want to extend our heartfelt sympathies to you, Lawrence, and your family. We have enjoyed so many years of excellent friendship and love from you, and thank you very much for it. We do know our lives are in God's hand and His plan is the perfect plan for all of us. We will certainly be at the celebration service, (in Spirit) and pray for strength and comfort for you all. Love and prayers Ben Erna - Posted by: Ben Erna Falk (Very good friends ) on: Mar 06, 2014

  • My prayers go out to you Larry and to your family. I will always have the fondest memories of Laverna and have missed you both ever since you moved to Steinbach. We were so lucky to have our "surrogate grandparents" living next door. I loved it when Laverna would sit on your backyard swing and sing to my girls. She was a truly beautiful soul. - Posted by: Monica Anderson (former neighbor/friend) on: Mar 06, 2014
