OLGA DE MAN 1921 - 2014 We regret to announce the passing of our mother, Olga De Man on Thursday, March 13, 2014. She is survived by her son Ron De Man; daughters Diana Rochon (Carl) and Grace Gyselinck; sisters Tina Nichols, Jeanne Joy, Helen Monaghan, and Anastasia Rohatynski. Olga was predeceased by her husband, Lievin; daughter Donna De Man and son-in-law Jim Gyselinck. She was also predeceased by her parents Klym and Maria Rohatynski; brother Walter Rohatynski, and sisters Anne Bychuk, Kay Birnie, and Pauline Rohatynski. One of the things we remember fondly is Mum's large garden and all the canning she did; many kinds of vegetables and fruits, as well as jams, jellies, and pickles. She also liked to bake and won blue ribbons for her baking and preserves at the St. Vital Agricultural Fairs. Later on in life, Mum enjoyed working in the Laundry Section at St. Amant Centre. She also took pleasure in attending Liberal Party luncheons and meetings. We would like to express our thanks to the doctor, nurses and staff at Golden Links Personal Care Home who looked after Mum so very well. Many thanks to the nurses and aides at the Victoria General Hospital, 2nd Floor South, for the care they provided at the end of her days.
