He spoke so openly of his love and pride for his children. In everything he did, he gave his all. Garry and I always enjoyed conversations with him about farming and I felt fortunate working night shifts with Roman at East Gate Lodge. • Darlene, sorry for your loss. - Posted by: Jacqueline Doran (Friend) on: Mar 20, 2014

  • Roman was a true friend. You could not ask for better co-worker. We spent many a night working together. I am sure the halls still echo with our singing of " Big Bad John", and his favorite saying "SCHWANTZ". I will keep many fond memories of Roman, everything from stringing fence, painting pigeon coop to the countless pots of coffee and breakfasts. When I re-shingled my parents house I needed a truck to haul the debris. Roman simply told me to take the grain truck and just return it with a full tank the same way he borrowed it to me. This was Roman's way. My condolences Roman was a Gentleman among men. On " The Wings Of A Dove" my friend. - Posted by: Scott Solotki (Friend) on: Mar 20, 2014

  • So sorry to hear of Roman's passing, Darlene. My prayers and thoughts go out to all the family. - Posted by: Gail Kotowich (Gonor/Narol neighbour) on: Mar 20, 2014

  • We always looked forward to going to Uncle Roman's. Our kids were involved with Tanya and Derek. There were four wheelers to ride, pic-a-pop to enjoy, and plenty of time for card games, of course after the field work was done. Roman's parents would cook up a storm and it was so good. I can almost still taste it. My prayers are with you Tanya and Derek as you now continue in your walk of life. It will be different with your father gone, but there will be many times when you will draw strength from those times shared together. I pray you will hang on to the lessons learned and draw strength from God's word. Uncle Murray - Posted by: Murray & Karen Hewko () on: Mar 20, 2014

  • I knew Roman from when I was working for Jimmy Christie and we would often talk to each other in the fields when we were haying or baling straw for the animals. He seemed to be always happy and did not complain about life's challenges. I will always cherish our talks and will remember his humour. Rest in Peace Roman - Posted by: Christopher Wishart (Friend) on: Mar 20, 2014
