KEN NIELSEN It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Ken (Kaj) Nielsen, 75, on Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at the St. Boniface Hospital. He is survived by his loving wife, Florence; daughters: Karen (James) Davey, Catherine, Deborah; son: James; grandchildren: Valerie, Megan, James, Andrew, Russel, Derek, Keely, and Callie; sister: Ingrid and her husband Paul-Erik. He was predeceased by his parents Holger and Valborg, and brothers Arne and Thomas. The funeral will be held Saturday, March 22, 2014, at 10:00 a.m., at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, 150 Penfeld Drive, Steinbach with interment at the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Nativity of St. Mary's Cemetery, Senkiw, MB. Donations in memory of Ken may be made to Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Nativity of St. Mary's Cemetery, Attn: Patricia Gawronsky, General Delivery, Roseau River, MB R0A 1P0. Jimmy and Debbie, I am so very sorry for your loss. My deepest condolences go out to you and your family. I only met Ken a handful of times when we were much younger and I remember him to be a very kind and funny man. Jimmy, if there is anything you need, please don't hesitate.
