JACK WORMS It is with great sadness that on Saturday, March 29, 2014 Jack (Jacob) Worms, age 63, resident of St. Adolphe, passed away peacefully after a short battle with cancer, at the Victoria General Hospital in Winnipeg. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Barb and three daughters: Tara (Glen) and Samantha; Tracy (J.J.) and Tiffany and Dylan, and Hali (Guy) and Kelly, Tyson and Alexis. Jack was born in Morden, the youngest of eight children (sisters Marion, Katie, Esther, Helen, Betty, and brothers George and John). He spent his early years on the family farm south of the town. On moving to Winnipeg, he found employment with firms providing parts to the automotive and agricultural sectors, notably with his own business, Hanover Bearing and Auto. Later he managed the Niverville branch of Piston Ring. He was well known for his encyclopedic knowledge as it applied to automobile and farm machinery components. At his home in St. Adolphe, Jack collected antiques, specifically those with an agricultural focus, built models, and looked forward to spring so he could plant his garden. Jack was predeceased by his parents, Jacob and Tina Worms, son-in-law Guy Sansregret, and two sisters, Katie and Marion. The memorial service will be held Friday, April 4, at 2:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, 150 Penfeld Drive, Steinbach. Donations in honour of Jack may be made to CancerCare Manitoba. Arrangements by BIRCHWOOD FUNERAL CHAPEL 1-888-454-1030 or 204-346-1030

Sorry to hear about Jack, Barb. He was a decent man. I'll miss his comments and his jokes. We had some good times and I have some great memories of him. - Posted by: Don Wallace (Friend) on: Apr 09, 2014

I will always remember Jack and the laughs we had together while working at piston ring. His knowledge in agricultural parts was amazing and he always knew what bearing numbers a customer needed only by looking at it. Even though I have not worked with him for almost ten years, I still thought about him often. I'm so very sorry for your loss Barb. - Posted by: Julie Allard (Coworker at piston ring) on: Apr 05, 2014

I always enjoyed dealing with Jack at Niverville Piston Ring. We had a standing joke between us whenever we dickered that we did it "because our kids needed shoes!" He was a great guy. My sincere condolences. - Posted by: Chris Wiebe (Business Friend) on: Apr 04, 2014
