Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY ROSE SETLACK (nee BARTA) December 15, 1935 - April 1, 2014 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, baba, great-grandmother and sister, Mary Rose Setlack (nee Barta) on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at Bethesda Hospital in Steinbach, at the age of 78 years surrounded by her family. Mary was predeceased by her husband, Walter, in 1988, and son Walter Jr. in 2009. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, William (Jacquie), Wayne (Patti), Wendy (Mike), Willis (Bernice), and Wanita; grandchildren, Jonathan, Stephanie, Matthew, Anthony, Christopher, Kevin, Ashley, Jennifer, Holly, Jordan, and Lara; great-grandchildren, Callum and Shawn; and four siblings, Stella, Rose, Jean and Stan. Mary enjoyed a great career as a seamstress, and was known for her talent and skills in the kitchen (especially her perogies). She loved music, dancing, bingo, playing cards, and spending time with her friends at the Reynolds Hadashville Senior Citizens Club. But Mary's greatest joy was her family, whom she loved dearly and who will miss her with all their hearts. The family would like to thank Wendy for the loving care she provided for our dear mother, baba, and sister throughout the years. Not only was she her daughter, but Mom's best friend. Having Wendy by her side gave her great comfort in her final days. We are forever grateful for her devotion. The family also wishes to thank all of the staff, doctors and care givers at Bethesda Hospital in Steinbach for their care, compassion and warmth. Funeral service will be held on Friday, April 11, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home & Cemetery, Hwy. 1 East at Navin Road, with interment to follow. Visitation will take place half an hour prior to service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Bethesda Foundation, Steinbach, MB. So sorry to hear the loss of your Mother, Wendy and Wanita! My heart goes out to you girls and your whole family. Your Mom was a wonderful lady.....kind-hearted with the most beautiful smile! She will be greatly missed by everyone around her. Wanita, I can still remember the car ride to Steinbach with you, your Mother, Bonnie, and her Mother.
